Peer Writing Tutor, Dickinson College

I have worked as a Peer Writing Tutor since Fall 2018. As a tutor, I consult with students of various abilities and disciplines and work with them on their prose, organization, and general confidence in their writing. This experience has provided me with educational and interpersonal skills.

Writing Associate, Dickinson College

I have worked as a writing associate since Fall 2019. As a writing associate, I collaborate with one professor per semester to assist in instructing first-year students about the writing process. My tasks include organizing and facilitating out-of-class peer-review sessions, creating and presenting mini-lessons about writing skills, and discussing strategies for strengthening students' writing with the professor. The WA experience provided me with leadership and educational skills.

Trail Crew Member, Rocky Mountain Youth Corps

In Summer 2021, I will work as a Conservation Corps Trail Crew Member with Rocky Mountain Youth Corps. RMYC engages young adults in outdoor-based service and conservation projects in Colorado. As a trail crew member, I will be working with a small team on conservation projects in Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah.

Climate Analyst, Dickinson College

During Spring 2021, I have worked as a Climate Analyst at Dickinson College. This position involves assisting Cumberland County with creating a climate action plan. My roles include assisting with focus groups and interviews, preparing summaries, reviewing climate action plans of other communities, and identifying strategies that could be beneficial for Cumberland County. My experience as a Climate Analyst strengthened my interview and research skills.

Business Growth

Dana Research Assistant, Dickinson College

In Fall 2019, I was selected to work with Dr. Heather Bedi, Professor of Environmental Studies, on her book Indian Energyscapes: Coal Histories, Climate Vulnerabilities, and Solar Futures. As a research assistant, I conducted a literature review on India’s energy systems and the concept of a just renewable energy transition. Professor Bedi and I co-presented our findings​ for Dickinson’s Earth Issues Seminar Series in a talk titled "India's Renewable Energy Transition: Justice and Land Considerations." The Dana experience strengthened my independent research skills and made me more comfortable presenting to large groups. It also solidified my passion for global environmental justice.

English Language Assistant, Ministerio de Educación de España

Starting in Fall 2021, I will be working as an English Language Assistant in Madrid, Spain. As a ELA, I will plan and conduct educational activities that help students strengthen their English skills.
